The Menemsha Inn offers a variety of private accommodations in 17 shingled buildings and cottages, spread across 14 acres.  They include the Carriage House, Tea House, Mainstay, Seascape Cottages, Ruth's House, and Shell House. All include private baths and decks, and passes to area beaches. Guests are invited to join us in our breakfast room and sundeck overlooking Vineyard Sound for our gourmet complimentary continental breakfast with fresh baked muffins, fruit, cereals, bagels, juice, coffee and tea.

Our spacious Carriage House provides six luxury ocean view rooms featuring a bedroom area with a queen size bed, a sitting area with sofa, coffee table and comfortable chairs. The main floor of the Carriage House is the Eisenstaedt Room, a photo gallery honoring legendary Life photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt, who was the Inn's guest annually for 53 years.  In addition, this large great room has a native stone fireplace and a library of books, puzzles and games to enjoy in front of a cozy fire.

The Tea House centers on our dining room and sunset deck overlooking Vineyard Sound, and houses our collection of historic photographs which illuminate one hundred fifty years of Vineyard seafaring and farming. The building contains six ocean view and three garden view rooms, all with private baths and private sun decks. 

Rooms are plushly carpeted and equipped with cottage-style furniture, and lamps and crafts from area artisans. To start your day, a complimentary gourmet continental breakfast, New York Times and Boston Globe await room guests.

The Mainstay reception building offers guests a wonderful ocean view great room with fireplace, conference room and library downstairs. Upstairs, the Mainstay Suite features two bedrooms, two baths, a deck, living room, kitchen and a spectacular ocean view - the perfect retreat for the wedding couple or company president.

Each of our Seascape Cottages has a king size bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, private bath, living room with fireplace, and both a private deck and screened in porch for enjoying our famous sunsets. The cottages provide our guests with a substantial home base from which to explore our island. Ruth was the daughter of the original innkeeper, Dewolf Thompson. Her classic three bedroom Vineyard home offers spectacular sunset views over Vineyard Sound. Ruth's house includes daily housekeeping, complimentary breakfast, parking pass for Lucy Vincent beach and use of all the inns facilities.
