Each of our Sea view Cottages has a private bedroom with a king-size bed, living room with a sofa sleeper and cozy fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with small dining table, and full private bath.
Each cottage has a private deck with ocean views perfect for enjoying our famous sunsets (except Periwinkle which overlooks our beautiful gardens).
The cottages provide our guests with a vacation home from which to explore our island. Additional amenities include cable television, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, outside showers, BBQ grills, screen porches, daily maid service, use of all the inn's facilities, and complimentary wood for your fireplace.
Forecastle is our two bedroom cottage with king and twin-sized beds. Both bedrooms open onto screen porches with ocean views
One Bedroom Cottages
Beach Plum, Topside, Ditty Box, Driftwood, Bayberry, Periwinkle and Sandpiper all are one bedroom, one story cottages.
All have an ocean view except Periwinkle which has a beautiful garden view.
Two Story Cottages
The bedroom in Lookout, Plum Duff and Bell Buoy cottages are located on the second story and have a deck with beautiful views of Vineyard Sound and the Elizabeth Islands
Guests enter the Carriage house through the Eisenstaedt Great Room, a spacious and comfortable space named after photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt, who was a returning guest for 53 years. This comfortable shared space is a great place to watch the game or enjoy our library of books and games in front of the large native stone fireplace.
The Carriage House provides six luxury ocean-view rooms each featuring a bedroom area with a king-size bed, and a sitting area with a sofa sleeper, coffee table and comfortable chairs. Each carpeted room also has its own private bath, sun deck, mini refrigerator, flat screen TV with a DVD player, and A/C. These rooms are decorated in seacoast blues with vineyard cottage-style furniture. The sunlit interiors have magnificent water views, and enjoy a soft pink glow created by the nightly splendor of the sun setting into the sea.
The Tea House building contains six ocean view rooms and three garden view rooms, all with sun decks featuring cushioned chairs and foot rests. Each room has a Vineyard summer feel decorated in island blues and navy with neutral toned carpet and cottage-style furniture. Each room has a private bath and A/C.
The Tea House Breakfast Room has both indoor and outdoor seating with a sunset deck overlooking Vineyard Sound, and collections of historic photographs and artifacts which illuminate one hundred fifty years of Vineyard seafaring and farming.
The Mainstay Suite is located above the Menemsha Inn reception area. It features a master bedroom with a king bed with a large vineyard cottage headboard paired with matching dresser, end tables and private bath.
This room has a balcony with a spectacular ocean view.
The second bedroom is decorated with crisp white linen and island blue accents. This room is furnished with 2 twin beds and an adjoining full bath. The living room is decorated with Nantucket striped walls and sea mist colored cottage furniture. Sea grass lamps give this suite a true Vineyard summer feel.
The Mainstay suite has a full kitchen, access to an outdoor gas grill, and seats six at the dining room table. This suite is the perfect retreat for a wedding couple, exhausted CEO, or family of four.

Ruth's House
Ruth was the daughter of the original innkeeper, DeWolf Thompson. Her classic three bedroom Vineyard home offers spectacular sunset views of Vineyard Sound. The living and dining rooms share an open floor plan. There is a full kitchen with dishwasher. There are three bedrooms upstairs including a master with king bed and half bath, a guest room with a queen bed and twin trundle bed in the third. In addition there is a family room in the finished basement.
Ruth's house includes daily housekeeping, parking pass for Lucy Vincent beach and use of all the Inns facilities. Extra details include air conditioning cable television with VCR/DVD player, outside shower, BBQ grill, complimentary wood for your fireplace, and deck with a view of the animals in the lower pasture as well as Vineyard Sound.
Shell House
Located adjacent to our tennis court, Shell House has three bedrooms, great room with fireplace, large kitchen and expansive outdoor decking. The master bedroom is on the first story and contains a king bed and Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and twin beds in the second. Appliances include washer/dryer, dishwasher. Extras include air conditioning, cable television with VCR/DVD player, outside shower, BBQ grill, and complimentary wood for your fireplace.
Evelyn’s House
Evelyn’s house is a rustic cottage perfect for those interested in an old Vineyard camp-style vacation. The décor harkens back to simpler time and with furnishing that will remind you of a cottage your grandparents might have enjoyed. Perched above Menemsha Harbor, the front porch contains a dining table where you can take in the view. The kitchen and living room are located in a great room with cathedral ceiling. A ladder leads to a loft bedroom containing 2 twin beds. Below are two additional bedrooms, one with a double bed and a bunk bed in the second. There is an outdoor shower and gas grill.
